About the Limited Traffic Zone in Rome (Z.T.L.)
Roma
is an
ancient
city
filled with
priceless
art,
artefacts
and
precious
monuments.
Every
brick of every building needs to be protected from invasion of
automobiles.
For
this reason a law was introduced protecting the historic centre
of Roma from this.
Television cameras and electronic surveillance monitors. Roma's
ZTL
(Limited Traffic Zone).
Private cars without a ZTL permit are not allowed into the ZTL outside
of posted hours. The hours in witch the ZTL are closed to vehicles
without a ZTL permit are: Monday Friday 6.30am6.00 pm, Saturday between
2.00pm and 6.00pm. Access is permitted all Sunday.

6.30 am - 8pm
