Via Egiziaca a Pizzofalcone.It is situated in a very interesting historical area above Piazza del Plebiscito, on a hillock called Montedidio. At the end of the street there is a terrace with a striking panoramic view. Short history of the place: VIA EGIZIACA A PIZZOFALCONE. It’s a little hill separating Piazza del Plebiscito, a well known square of the city, from Via Caracciolo and Mergellina the places mentioned in all Neapolitan songs. The street ends with a panoramic observation point where you can see the harbour, monuments and famous tourist places (Castel dell’Ovo and Borgo di S. Lucia). Some historians say that the first buildings of the city arose in this setting. Because it is near to the Royal Palace, many important palaces were built during the Neapolitan era. - Position: Few minutes walking distance from Piazza del Plebiscito, and the ancient commercial centre of Chiaja. The historical centre can be reached on foot in a quarter of hour. It’s near to theatres: San Carlo - one of the biggest lyric theatres of Italy; Mercadante – a beautiful prose theatre recently restructured; Politeama and Sannazzaro - two dialectical theatres. All can be reached on foot. - All main city line buses for all destinations nearby (ten minutes walking).
The house is composed of a living room with a little kitchen, double bedroom and a top room floor with two beds and bathroom. Total beds: 4 The house is independent, completely furnished, partly with antique furniture. The window overlooks on a delightful roof garden. The apartment is independently heated (single boiler). The house is consigned with all necessities are provided, including fridge.
A car park is available two minutes walking distance from the house (reasonable rates). |
